It is legend that during the worst trench fighting in World War I, soldiers from both sides ceased fire during Christmas to allow the season to be celebrated.

It is with the same good grace that your humble Web Wanker puts aside his differences with the forces of evil (those who think that Burnie r*ns should start early) to announce that this week's tinsel trail is being set by Satan Urang and his Ho Ho Ho Phay Ray starting at 5:00pm from the Burnie Civic Centre car park (southern end).

Holiday season hashers should bring a plate of food to share and a wrapped gift to the value of $7.46. Wear something festering.

To all my loyal readers and chronological agitators, I wish a bon Noël. Regular hostilities resume in 2010.

Just one week after her coup, northern rebel leader Col. Dini Bananarama has ceded control of the Burnie Hash communications hub back to the democratically-elected web wanker.
P!ss poor effort, that.
I am prepared to offer a Presidential pardon to the rebel leader, in return for her setting this Sunday's Burnie Hash trail from 8 Arthur Street, Ocean Vista (former stable of Furlong). Run starts at 5:30pm. Yes, 5:30pm because I'M back in control and you will do what I say! Mwhahahahahahaha. Ha. Ha ha. *cough*
Bring a hat, fence pailing, friend, joke, paint brush and $10 for bucket and tucker. Bring extra change for a chance to play in Chunder's sack.

HHH Hash Trash 04 December 2009

What a big week in hashing it's been. Normal Monday run with H5, Full Moon/Harem on Wednesday, drowned last night with Chardonnay, then off to Bruny Island this weekend for the ultra marathon!

This coming week H5 is off to the wilds of New Town with Hands On, or you can head out to Middle Tree Road for some H4 contemplation with Buddha. Harem's r*n on Wednesday is a secret, but known to be somewhere out off the South Arm Highway. Then on Thursday it'll be Top Deck's virgin hare from her place at Rosetta.

Monday and Thursday runs start at 6:30, whereas gash hash starts at the ladylike time of 7:00pm. No confusion there.

I think that's all I had to relay this week.

Oh, apparently Burnie is running from Dyke's place at 64 Tugrah Rd, Devonport, but that bint from NW has already told you that. Not that I'm complaining. Far be it from me to whinge about being made redundant, let alone changing the start time because some poxy ABC show has finished and now everyone can stay out later even though I tried to do the same thing but kept getting abusive messages from someone I won't mention GONZO about getting it right. I know where I'm appreciated.

Those travelling in 2WD vehicles will need to park at the turnoff and walk the final five kilometres (allow about an hour) along the Kelly Basin Road to the Bird River Bridge. The road follows the alignment of the railway line and so it provides level, easy walking although it can be wet underfoot. Those travelling in 4WD vehicles can drive this final section of Kelly Basin Road. The track is quite narrow in parts so please travel slowly and watch for other vehicles.

Once all have arrived and are accounted for (10:00am start); everyone will drive into the bridge!

It's the early bird that catches the worm and it's the early hasher who catches a ride to the last HOFT* of 2009.

No sleep ins SATURDAY morning, for HOFT-meister GonZo expects her tour party to be at the Bird River Bridge by 10:00am (that equates to about a 7:00am start from Burnie!).

From Queenstown drive south along the sealed Mt Jukes Road for 29 km. At this point the road surface changes to gravel and it becomes the Kelly Basin Road. Follow the Kelly Basin Road for 11 km to the Bird River Bridge turnoff. It will take approximately one hour to travel from Queenstown to this point.

HHH Hash Trash 20 November 2009

One might normally expect hare Ratchet to be readying himself for this Sunday's Burnie hash outing, however word has reached my shell-likes that Ratchet will be far too busy on his ride on metal post munching machine to set trail! So, flushed with the success of her barely grown over virgin hare, the lovely Knickers will be stepping up to the mark. Incroyable!

That's the good news - the bad news is that this leaves Ratchet to try to concoct fizzy pasta without a recipe.

Hashers and leftover pirates should head to 1054 Isandula Rd, Gawler, for a 5:00pm start, even though we all know that it won't start until 5:30pm because nature abhors a vacuum and hash abhors punctuality.

Bring a hat, stuffed parrot, mug ya-ho, and five pieces of gold; bring extra for Captain Chunder unless you want to walk the plank.

Life's a drag when you get to 50; not the kind of drag where you can't be bothered getting out of bed, but the kind of drag where gold lamé is the new black and too much eye makeup is barely enough.

This Saturday night, the bint celebrates the half ton in a all-girls extravaganza of excess lippy and stilettos with L plates.

In expectation of a more lethargic pack than normal, Burnie Hash's regular offering will be a sedate brunch stroll set by A Bit of This from the chicken/moose farm starting at 11:00am, followed by leftovers and a sav blank. Absolutely fabulous, dahlink.

Vague.

That's not the mis-spelling of a fashion magazine title, it's the destination of hashers wishing to partake of their routine Sunday Burnie Hash outing.

Head to Guide Falls, Ridgley, and look for signs. Doesn't say what signs; just, you know, signs. Signs of the second cumming. Visible signs of aging. You know, signs.

Vague hares Phay Ray and Urang may be setting trail somewhere around there. The start time's a bit vague too - I keep getting told that it's 5:00pm, but I'm sure it's more like 5:30, or even 6:00. Starting later is the new black. Vogue.

What's not vague is that you should take with you a hat, mug, joke, friend and $10 for food and bucket. Bringing change for the raffle is a bit vague, but then so are the prizes.
