The saddles have been hung up, the hosses have been fed and the spittoons emptied for another year.  But things are still heading west for Burnie Hash as WWW award-winning (harrumph) duo of the year, Giggles and BoomBoom set forth, not from Forth because that would be east, but Somerset, but not West Somerset, but it is west of Burnie.

Trail starts at 3:30pm from 15 Loongana pl, Somerset; bring a hat, mug, friend, joke $10 for food and bucket, and extra cash for a chance to win a bottle of Diet Pepsi on the Chunderous Wheel of Fortune.

HHH Hash Trash 23 July 2009

 "Go West", the Village People once said.  They also said "you can get it at the YMCA", but we prefer not to talk about that.

This weekend, however, we do act on their words and head west for the 6^th annual Wild West Weekend, holed up again at the Mt Bischoff Hotel, Waratah.  Head wrangler Phay Wray wants all the greenhorns to assemble between noon and 12:30pm, ready for a 2:00pm stampede (or earlier if all the cattle are penned).  Yee haw!

Cost is $65, which covers two runs, piss stop, circle, accommodation, three course evening meal and cooked breakfast.  Buy your own grog at the bar.  Boy howdy!

Bring along your wild west evening gear and karaoke act (with own CD to be sure).

Friday already?  Time flies.  Flies fly. Pigs don't.  You could write a thesis on that.

Speaking of thesis, this week's hare is Professor Hump of the Lead Lighting Institute of Uganda and Southern Rwanda.  Her thesis is on the migration patterns of Slack Macs, and will set her control group off at 3:30pm from the Somerset Sports Centre in Arthur St, Somerset.

Afterwards, hashers head to the House of Hump for riparian delights.  Bring hat, mug, joke, friend and $10 for food and bucket.  Bring extra cash to be ripped off by Hash Hawker ChundZo.

HHH Hash Trash 10 July 2009

The days are getting longer and it's time to tune up those bodies for the summer.  That's why all Burnie hashers are to head to the Penguin Sports Centre on Ironcliffe Road at 3:30pm this Sunday for GonZo's boot camp.

After some gentle warm ups (getting out of the car), you'll be subjected to a gruelling 5km hike while carrying your spare tyre, followed by a warm down of elbow curls using 10oz Boags weights.

Afterwards, hashers head to a local health food eatery for some carbohydrate loading.  Bring hat, mug, joke, friend and cash for food and bucket.  Bring extra cash to be ripped off by Hash Hawker Chunder.

HHH Hash Trash 3 July 2009

Ah, Devonport.  Rusty-hinged gateway to Tasmania and home of the DickHead hash.

In over 1,000 r*ns of Burnie Hash history, barely a bucket of ovine testicles have been held on the Mersey side of the NW Coast, but who better to throw another set of sheep's balls into the bucket than the bi coastal Dyke? (I'm sure that should read bi-coastal, but he is primarily a Devonport hasher so it stands as is - besides, he doesn't have a computer and will never read this any).

This Sunday's BURNIE hash starts at 3:30pm from Unit 2, 64 Tugrah Rd, Devonport (Google it if you're unsure how to get there), as opposed to Devonport's Monday night hash from Penguin and Tuesday night's Lunar hash from Ulverstone.  All very incestuous.

Bring hat, mug, joke, friend and $10 for food and bucket.  Bring extra cash to be ripped off by Hash Hawker Chunder.
