The long weekend approaches, full of promise of jobs done (weatherboards), drinks consumed (after weatherboards) and pigs flown (finishing weatherboards after drinks).
Whether you're bored or not, this week's mid-weekend trail set by Ringo will be a bushy bash through the wild west of Burnie's hinterland. I'll give you a hint - head to Highclere shop, say hi to Clare, then look for signs (if it's a burning bush, run) (better still, you got there in the car, so drive).
R*n starts at 5:30pm; bring $10 for food and grog, a hat, mug, joke, friend, August, piece of wood and extra cash for GonZo's fire-sale raffle.
-------------------------------
The most appropriate way to celebrate Burnie's 1000th r*n, according to the poll, is simply to drink the night away. No 70s clothes, no M-styled fashion, and definitely no togas.
This week's poll is: What should be the theme for the Burnie AGPU?
Go to http://www.burniehhh.blogspot.com/, look for the poll on the right side of the page and record your vote (closes next Thursday).

Care factor about this poll = zero. The shadowy figures (yes the other ones) have already decided on a theme.
The people shall have their say! How can there be a theme before there's a date?
Your date has a theme - do I need be more specific?
Leave my date out of this!
Togas are out this year. The theme and date of the AGPU will be announced shortly.
